I keep asking myself if "is it safe to wear underwired bras during pregnancy?"
Aside from Mummy Nors, my Chinese friends also advised me not to wear it too.
And whenever I have questions, I just google it...and here's what Sally Sago answers:

'There's nothing to say that wearing underwired bras during pregnancy may be harmful. However, you're likely to find them uncomfortable for your changing breasts.
Many midwives and retail outlets advise against wearing underwired bras in pregnancy. The rigid wire may interfere with the natural changes in the size and shape of your breasts. The bra may obstruct the increased blood flow or squash your developing milk duct system. At best, it'll be uncomfortable, but at worst, it may lead to inflammation (mastitis). ere's nothing to say that wearing underwired bras during pregnancy may be harmful. Though no clinical evidence about this but then I decided to just change all my undergarments and since its Great Singapore Sale, I decided to find the perfect match...

AIRism is a new concept in functional innerwear created by UNIQLO for the spring and summer seasons. Made from ultra-fine fibers that regulate the circulation of air, AIRism innerwear feels so light and soft to the skin that you will forget you have it on. |
Too bad not on sale but not so bad for S$ 34.90 each |
I also got this for S$ 7.90 (UP S$16.90) |
Wearing my Airism T-shirt, soft, cool and very comfy! |
I hope it's the correct bra fitting. As I told you my doctor advised me to have my fitting checked. Apparently I've been wearing big ones (because I did not bother having fitted again and just followed the size of my nursing bras)and now I'm suffering from breast pain. So invest in a correct one especially if you are planning to breastfeed.
ReplyDeleteI like the shape of your tummy. It is very round but you look sexy. Few more weeks till meeting your little one, excited for you!
Noted on that will probably make that appointment soon.
Deleteand yeah so excited to see our little angel
Ah finally we get to see your belly bump! Very cute bump indeed and you look great with pregnany. Speaking of bras...I still wear my regular bra as my boobs have not grown as big as before...I am far from double D's so far which was my size with previous pregnancy. I do own a lot of nursing bras from Medela, they were the seamless, softcup nursing bras. They looked like sports bras and I used to wear it even when I was sleeping for support. It sort of has a wide strap for additional back support and it opens on both breast with an easy release button for nursing. To be honest, I don't look forward to wearing them again, lol. Don't get me wrong, I loved breastfeeding as it is best for babies but i am scared my boobs will need some lifting after another baby going through it.
ReplyDeletehavent seen those nursing bras from Medela here so better look or if not I call the supplier maybe they can order it for me..how i wish there is something to lift, lol!
