If only I could be Martha Stewart

Another gloomy day. I decided to skip work and stay home. The constant headaches I have been getting are starting to annoy me. I woke up feeling like crap, but then again I have more chores to do. It just never ends. I go to my kitchen and decided I'll make bread pudding. That's what I do. I bake, cook or make something up to make me feel like I'm freakin' super woman.lol

Here's my bread pudding recipe. It's been tweaked here and there and it always changes depending on what I have in my pantry. This time, it worked out pretty well. Run out of raisins, so I made it with craisins. My DD swore it was yummy. I will take all the credit. This was not from any recipe I have looked up online. The picture was before I put it in the oven.

First, pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Then prepare:
8 slices of multi grain wheat bread ( whatever day over bread you have will do)
4 egss
1/2 sugar
1 1/2 cups of skim milk
1/2 cup of coconut milk
1 tbsp of vanilla
1 tsp of cinnamon powder
2 tbsp of melted butter
1/2 cup of craisins to sprinkle on top

Tear slices of bread on a baking pan. Mixed all the rest of the ingredients on a bowl. Then pour the mixture on top of bread, spread and push down with fork. Then sprinkle craisins on top. Put in oven for an hour or until dry.

While waiting, DD asked me to play Candy Land board game with her. I beat her to it. I don't believe in letting children win all the time. It is always good to make them feel that everything is fair game.

After the game, I told her to get ready to go out to buy items from Home Depot for some shelving that we would need for the next baby. Another project I want hubby to work on.
Troy is trying to get in the background for some photo op too.lol

I go up to her room and saw it was a mess, had to ask her to make her bed with mom's help. As you can already tell, DD is obsessed with pink. The result was good enough, as long as the bed is made, I am ok with it.

I go to the next room. Ahh...this one was my mess. I did laundry yesterday and got too lazy to fold them so I dumped it in the guestroom. This room is going to be baby #2's room if it turned out to be a boy. It is already blue and I would hate to paint again. For now, it's my folding area. I need to get it done by the end of the day.

We are about to leave in a few so I too had to get ready. The other day I was wearing warm clothes but now I have to layer a little bit. I don't mind, it hides my baby bump.

Here we are in our driveway getting ready to leave. My DD picked her own outfit, I let her wear whatever she wants. Mads is wearing mostly Paul Frank and Gap Kids. She has her Crocodile Creek backpack with her. And warm boots from Bearpaw. I think it's a good way for her to show some of her creativity. I think she does a phenomenal job each time.

For me, I love my Loveappella infinity scarf, I wear it all the time. I am also glad I get a chance to wear boots at this time of the year. This boots are from Michael Kors, they're the latest booties I added to my wardrobe.

Okay. Off we go, hubby is yelling at me from inside the car.

  4. Mads wait till you see Little Girl's room, it's very pink. But isn't pink, sweet little girls best friend? I, too got a dumping room. Actually it's my study that doubles as my ironing room a few nights a week. Love your boots and Mads looks like she's already having her own fashion sense. Love it! She looks so adorable and 2nd picture with one eye brow arched looks like you.
